The_Herd-Summerland-2008
(Hiphop)

Australia's The Herd returns this summer for their 4th release. The album's production is definetley top notch with alot of live instruments from horns to violens. It just seems that Urthboy and Ozi Batla get outshined by the production. I find myself just wanting to hear Jane sing her parts. But still this album is good and is worth your time to seek it out. Its available on Itunes right now.

Raekwon-Necro_Ft_Ghostface_Killah-CDS-2008

This is the first single from the highly anticipated album from the God himself Raekwon. Look for this album to drop this summer as if its anything like the original it should be classic.

Common_Market-Black_Patch_War-EP-2008
(Hiphop)

Common Market is RA Scion doing the emceeing and Sabzi on the beats. This ep just dropped today on itunes for 7 bucks. The full length Tobacco Road will be released later this year. For those that have their heads under a rock Sabzi is the producer for Blue Scholars. He's one of the best doing it right now.
In other news I am going to Central America for 2 months, so I will try to update when I can!

Common Market - Watership Down

Symbiosis-Symbiosis-2008
(Rock/Reggae/Dub/Roots)

Symboisis is another up and coming band from Australia. The 'Rise Up' track really stands out from the rest of the album. The lead singers voice sounds similar to Mat McHugh from The Beautiful Girls. This is their debut album, and it is available for purchase on itunes right now.

Symbiosis - Rise Up Download!

Santogold-Santogold-2008
(New Wave/Reggae/Rock/Electronica)

Now this isn't normally the type of music I would catch myself liking. But you just can't deny that this girl has talent and a ear for good production. There is a crazy hype for this album right now, shes being compared to M.I.A. In Common's words, singer-MC Santogold is "one of my favorite artists right now" Her voice reminds me of a Nelly Furtado. This album is in stores now.

Santogold - L.E.S Artistes
